Marc Bijl's site -specific work for Magazin4 deals with the romantic and dark side of rebellion. Registering minimal shifts in collective behaviour, Bijl scrutinizes power relations, ideals and idols of western society. His videos and installations deviate branding icons and political symbols alike, staging temporary mock monuments of revolution, rebellion, fanaticism and terrorist activity.
